CodeLab Browser Compatibility Information

IMPORTANT: always use the most recent version of the free Adobe-provided Flash player. Download it from: www.adobe.com.

Supported Platforms:
  • (Windows) Internet Explorer: Versions 6.0 and above.
  • (Windows) Netscape: Versions 6.2.3 and above.
  • (Windows) FireFox: Versions 2.0.0.6 and above.

  • (MacOS X) FireFox: Versions 2.0.0.6 and above.
  • (MacOS X) Netscape: Versions 6.2.3 and above.

Platforms That Are Likely To Be Compatible:
  • Linux (non-Debian): FireFox and a number of other browsers almost always seem to work OK on non-Debian versions of Linux.
  • Debian Linux: there seems to be an issue with the handling of proprietary fonts. This is an issue that can be overcome with some tinkering. Click Here to read some notes on addressing that issue. Feel free to contact us for assistance on that as well.
  • Recent versions of Mozilla-based browsers on Solaris are likely to work, though this can be dependent on the version of Flash installed on the machine.
  • Recent versions of Opera on Windows, Linux and MacOS have been known to work.

No Longer Supported Platforms:
  • (Windows) Netscape: Version 4.79
  • (MacOS 9) Netscape: Versions 4.76,4.77
Support for Netscape 4 versions terminated in the summer of 2003. These browsers may work, but they may also fail to load properly. We make no guarantees!
